ARTIST-DESIGNED MINI BLANKET
‘TIGER-TIGER’ X RENÉE ROSSOUW
This mini blanket was designed exclusively for Something Good Studio by South African artist and architect, Renée Rossouw.
It is a mini artwork with multiple functions. Think of it as a family blanket that can be used for babies and toddlers, for furry friends or even as a lap blanket or a scarf for grown-ups.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Renée Rossouw (b. 1985) is an artist, designer and architect based in Cape Town. She explores a variety of different projects; from art to murals, patterns and ceramics to an assortment of textile products.
Renée was one of our very first collaborators who became a friend over the years. :) We've challenged her to write a short poem for each artwork, here it is;
“The tiger is a ball of fur,
She plays all through the week,
Tickle her belly, make her purr
Until she falls asleep”
FABRICATION: 100% cotton sourced from BCI accredited farmers. Made in SA
PROCESS: Jacquard machine knitted with bubbled trim on two sides
SIZE: 31.5"X43"
WEIGHT: Approximately 500g per piece
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash in cold water / Gentle cold machine wash / Dry clean with any solvent. Flat dry, do not hang dry. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron
PACKAGING: Each throw is branded with a SMTNG GOOD label, beautifully folded & tied with ribbon, and packaged with an A6 print of the relevant artwork.
