YOUNG DESIGNER THROW – ‘OUROBOROS’ DESIGNED BY JADE TAYLOR
For our 2022 annual Young Designer Competition we've received a whopping amount of 1310 entries from clever young designers all over South Africa.
We’re thrilled to introduce this winning pattern, designed by Jade Taylor named ‘Ouroboros’.
‘Ouroboros’ is an ancient Greek symbol that depicts a serpent eating its own tail as a symbol and metaphor for rebirth/recreation and infinity. The sweeping arches represent the re-interpretation of the traditional ouroboros symbol: the lines follow a continuous path where they disappear and re-emerge into its former self, an infinite cycle of re-creation and dismantling of itself.
